Artichoke


    Artichoke with herb butter x 2
    4 people
    4 artichokes
    1 lemon
    8 toothpick
    Sea salt

    Break off the stick of the bottom. Cut the lemon into slices and place a slice stuck with toothpicks, on the bottom of each artichoke. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Put artichokes into the pot and cook on low heat, 10-15 minutes, turn off the heat and leave the artichokes approx. 5 min in the hot water. You can check if the artichokes are cooked, by trying to pull a leaf, if you can pull it off with little resistance, they are finished. Serve the artichokes on a tray and serve warm with the 2 types of butter Pull the leaves of, one at a time, put a little butter and eat the little “lump” artichoke meat that sits at the end of the leaves.

    Herb butter with parsley, garlic and cider.
    100 g soft butter
    1 bunch flat-leaf parsley
    1 clove garlic ½ cup.
    Dry cider 1 Tbsp.
    Cider vinegar (apple vinegar can also be used)
    1 Tbsp.
    soya
    Sea salt and freshly ground pepper

    Mix the butter with chopped parsley, finely chopped garlic, cider and vinegar, soya, salt and pepper. Mix well and put it in the refrigerator for 30 min. before serving to the artichoke.

    Herb butter with parmesan and basil
    100 g soft butter
    2 tbsp. freshly grated parmesan
    1 bunch basil
    1 tbsp. apple vinegar sea salt and freshly ground pepper

    Mix the butter with grated parmesan, chopped basil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well and put it in the refrigerator for 30 min. before serving to the artichoke.
