Apple galette with cream cheese, almonds and cinnamon
100 g soft butter
175 g wheat flour
50 g oatmeal
30 g chopped almonds
a bit of cold water
3-4 danish apples
1 dl cream cheese
1 unsprayed lemon
1 tbsp cane sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
a little blackberry
Put butter in a bowl and knead flour, oatmeal and chopped almonds into the butter. Add salt and a little water to make the dough smooth and aggregate.
Bring the dough to the refrigerator for approx. 30 min. for it to sit.
Peel apples, rmove the core and cut the apples into thin slices.
Roll out the dough on a piece of baking paper, thin and approx. With a diameter of 26-28 cm.
Mix cream cheese with lemon juice and put a thin layer on the dough, make sure there is an edge of approx. 5 cm there is no cheese on.
Put the apples on, so they stand up, close together and so the cheese is completely covered with apple, sprinkle with finely grated lemon zest, cinnamon and cane sugar and bend the edge over the apples, so the edge hold the apples on place.
Put galette in the oven and bake it for 20-25 min. at 170 degrees until it’s beautiful golden on top and the crust is crispy.
Take the galette out of the oven and let it cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with yoghurt, cream fraiche or possibly Ice cream.
